Grand Valley couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Hotchkiss squad, losing by a score of 28-0 on Friday at Grand Valley High School.

Yahir Chavez led Hotchkiss’ passing attack with 75 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Chavez also added 80 yards on the ground. Hotchkiss’ leading receiver was Blaine Peebles, who caught one pass for 65 yards.

Jace Peebles spearheaded the Hotchkiss rushing attack by running for 208 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 13 yards per carry. Traycer Hall contributed 60 yards , averaging 8.6 yards per carry.

Emilio Garcia spearheaded the Grand Valley ground game by finishing with 58 yards in the game, averaging 6.4 yards per carry.

Looking ahead to their next games, Hotchkiss will play host to Olathe, while Grand Valley will travel to play Cedaredge.
