Pagosa Springs easily handled Salida by a score of 40-7 on Friday, Oct. 11.
In addition to Grant Aucoin’s effort, Paden Bailey lead the Pagosa Springs ground game by running for 117 yards and three touchdowns in the game, averaging 7.8 yards per carry. Wil Aucoin chipped in with 60 yards and one touchdown, averaging 8.6 yards per carry.
Zayne Walker powered Salida’s passing attack with 105 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Walker also added 51 yards on the ground. Ben Fuller lead all Salida receivers with four catches for 81 yards and one score.
Salida’s ground attack was lead by Raymond Clinton and his 23 yards .
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Pagosa Springs heading to play Bayfield and Salida taking on Alamosa.
