Rock Canyon couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Valor Christian squad, losing by a score of 49-7 on Friday, Oct. 11.
Cole Bott led Valor Christian’s passing attack with 147 yards through the air. Bott also added one rushing touchdown. Bott’s favorite target in the contest was Rocky Beers, who caught three passes for 68 yards and one score.
Valor Christian’s ground game was spearheaded by Gavin Sawchuk who racked up 106 yards and four touchdowns in the contest, averaging 7.1 yards per carry. Jack Howell added 53 yards on the ground, averaging 13.2 yards per carry, as well as 37 receiving yards.
Brendan Biondino paced the Rock Canyon rushing attack by racking up 20 yards in the game.
Looking ahead to their next games, Rock Canyon will stay home and play ThunderRidge, while Valor Christian will travel to play Mountain Vista.
