Grand Junction Central handed Vista Ridge their first loss in a close 27-24 victory on Saturday.
Vista Ridge quarterback Brayden Dorman led the passing attack with 182 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Jayden Linta lead all Vista Ridge receivers with six receptions for 85 yards and one score.
Kayon Lacy paced all Vista Ridge rushers with 89 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Grand Junction Central hosting Palmer and Vista Ridge taking on Cheyenne Mountain.
