Soroco couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Vail Christian squad, losing by a score of 48-12 on Friday, Oct. 11 at Soroco High School, Stadium.
Jamison Lee powered Vail Christian’s passing attack with 161 yards through the air. Lee also added 108 yards on the ground.
Chris Cappel paced all Vail Christian rushers with 120 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 8.6 yards per carry. Cappel also tacked on 73 receiving yards and one touchdown. Simon Nowicki added 54 yards , averaging 9 yards per carry.
Nick Estes spearheaded the Soroco rushing attack by finishing with 64 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 64 yards per carry.
Vail Christian will play host to Gilpin County, while Soroco will travel to play Rangely.
