Denver will continue to see warm and dry weather Wednesday and Thursday, while the mountains may be in store for some precipitation later in the week.

Highs in the metro area are expected to reach 78 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

A fire watch has been put in place on Thursday for the mountain valleys, foothills and Palmer Divide.

The mountains could also see rain and snow showers Thursday night and Friday, forecasters said.
