Haxtun earned a win when they beat Byers 50-38 on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Haxtun quarterback Owen Knode led the passing attack with 100 yards through the air. Knode also added one touchdown on the ground. Michael Gerk lead all Haxtun receivers with three catches for 44 yards and one score.

Ike Andersen spearheaded the Haxtun ground game by gaining 253 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 6 yards per carry.

Ty Miller led Byers’ passing attack with 223 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Miller also added 102 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Malachi Davidson got involved in the passing game as well, reeling in six balls for 78 yards.

In addition to Miller’s effort, Brody Despard lead the Byers rushing attack by accumulating 89 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. Despard also tacked on 84 receiving yards.

Next up for each team, Byers will play host to Merino, while Haxtun will travel to play Akron.
