A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a crash that left one person dead early Sunday morning, according to Aurora police.
Cameron Smith was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident involving death, police said in a release.

Smith was driving a Ford SUV northbound on Interstate 225 and getting off at East Mississippi Avenue when he drove into the intersection and crashed into a Lexus SUV that was headed eastbound, police said. The Lexus driver was killed and a passenger seriously injured.
The suspect walked away from the crash, but some people told police he was at a nearby business where officers found and arrested him.
Smith is being held at the Arapahoe County Jail on a $10,000 bond, and he is scheduled to be in court at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, according to jail records.
