Between tourists and those of us scrambling to find something to do with visiting family, the holidays are a busy time for museums and cultural institutions. But this week, the weather may be throwing a wrench in your holiday plans to visit some of Denver’s cultural landmarks.
A major winter storm, rolling in Monday night and dumping snow on the region through Tuesday, is forecast to dump 8-16 inches of snow on metro Denver, according to Monday afternoon . Travelers have been advised to hold off on Thanksgiving travel until snow subsides, and those who are able to stay home and off the roads on Tuesday have been encouraged to hunker down.

Due to road conditions, some Denver institutions are opting to close on Tuesday. Below is a running list of closures that will be updated as information becomes available. - If you’re itchin’ to see a movie today, streaming might be your best bet: The Sie FilmCenter is closed for the day, according to a tweet.
- Tonight’s Schoolboy Q show at the Fillmore Auditorium has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Dec. 11, according to a press release. Tickets for the postponed show will be honored at the rescheduled event, but the Fillmore hasn’t clarified if ticket-holders can obtain refunds if they’re unable to attend the new date.
- Tonight’s Lindsey Stirling concert at Budweiser Events Center has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 27. All Tuesday tickets will be honored at the door and an allotment of tickets for Wednesday will be released.
- If you were planning to sneak in a workout today, you’ll need to find somewhere other than the Y — YMCA of Metro Denver will not open today, . “We plan to reopen Wed., Nov. 27 at 5 a.m.” Denver Recreation Centers are also closed today,
