Getting your player ready...

Coloradans love to decorate their houses for the holidays — and many of them are quite good at it. So good, in fact, that we like to pit them against each other. Hey, it wouldn’t be the holidays without a little friendly competition.

Welcome back to The Denver Postap annual Holiday Lights competition. We’ve opened up  for you to toss your house into the fray. And whether you enter the contest or not, make sure to use our map to  to check out all the houses.

Our editors will select the best photos submitted by Dec. 16 and post them where readers can vote from Dec. 17-22. The ultimate holiday house will be announced online on Dec. 24 and immortalized forever in print on Christmas Day.

The house with the most votes will receive a $100 gift card.

Denver Post Holiday Lights Submission Guidelines:

  • Make your title engaging
  • Include your complete address so it can be mapped
  • In the description, consider adding details such as: How many years you’ve decorated your home; How many lights or other installations are included; and what the theme is
  • Photos need to be less than 5mb in file size (try Pixlr Express for a free solution if you need to resize yours)
  • Please upload only one photo of your holiday lights display. Make it your best, because we will only be able to include the first submission from any given address.
  • Share more photos via social media with the hashtag #DPHolidayLights on Instagram and Twitter.
