Colorado’s High Country can expect another dumping of snow Saturday, delighting skier and boarders but making travel treacherous through the mountains.
Snow and gusty winds will become stronger later in the day, dropping as much as a foot of snow in the mountains to go with 45 mile per hour winds, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Metro Denver residents could see up to three inches, while the foothills could see slightly more snow.
Highs in Denver are forecasted to reach 42 degrees before plummeting into the low 20s at night, NWS said.
Travel will be difficult in the mountains today as snow and gusty winds continue. A few snow showers are possible over the urban corridor and eastern plains this morning and again late this afternoon and evening. More light snow Sunday.
