Seven months since Todd McShay had the Broncos selecting Grant Delpit at No. 3 in the 2020 NFL draft in his “,” the ESPN writer still has the LSU safety Denver-bound.
McShay’s , which was unveiled on Tuesday, shows Delpit dropping to the No. 12 pick, where the Broncos sit. Delpit, 21, is rated as the No. 6 best player on .
McShay writes: “Denver could lose soon-to-be free agents Chris Harris Jr. and Justin Simmons from its secondary, and Delpit is a rangy, instinctive safety who would help fill a moderate need. The Broncos could also badly use an upgrade at offensive tackle, but there just isn’t one who fits at No. 12. And I like Drew Lock, but if the Broncos aren’t sold on the rookie QB, it’s not out of the question for them to move up for Herbert. Lots of options for Denver.”
Delpit’s teammate, Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Burrow, is slated as the No. 1 overall pick to the Bengals. Meanwhile, CU Buffs star receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. is penciled in to go at No. 16 to the — sorry, apountry — Raiders.
