Denver weather: A little bit of snow on Friday, Saturday before the sun returns

Metro area residents are expected to get some snow this weekend but there will be little accumulation, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 43 degrees and an overnight low around 25.

On Friday there is a 30% chance of snow after 11 a.m. but less than an inch will fall. The day will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature near 42 degrees and an overnight low of 25.

There is a 40% chance of snow on Friday night. Total accumulation is expected to be about 1 inch, according to the NWS.

Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 34 degrees and a 50% chance of snow. The overnight low is expected to be 17 degrees.

Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high near 38 degrees and an overnight low around 18.

Monday is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high near 39 and an overnight low near 19 degrees. Tuesday is also expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 43 degrees and an overnight low around 26.

On New Year’s Day there is a slight chance of snow. The day will be partly sunny with a high temperature near 45 degrees.
