
With wind gusts of up to 31 miles-per-hour and a high temperature of 29 degrees, Saturday is going to be cold.
“There will be single-digit chill factor,” said Greg Hanson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Friday morning some patchy fog is expected in the metro area but that should burn off through the morning. There will be a 40 percent chance of snow after 2 p.m. and it will be cloudy with a high near 37 degrees. Less than a half-inch of snow is expected.
There is a 50 percent chance of snow overnight and a low of 24 degrees
On Saturday, there will be more snow. Total accumulation is expected to be up to 5 inches. The plains are expected to get more.

The day will be blustery with a north wind of 11 to 21 mph, gusts up to 31 mph and a high near 29 degrees.
Saturday night it is expected to be cloudy with some snow showers and a low around 15 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph.
The sun is expected to return on Sunday when the high temperature will be near 30. Wind gusts could be as high as 18 mph.
Sunday night will be mostly clear with a low around 14 degrees.
Monday will again be sunny with a high near 39 degrees and an overnight low around 16 degrees.
Tuesday is expected to be sunny with a high near 43 degrees and an overnight low around 22.
New Year’s Day could be a bit sloppy with a slight chance of rain and snow and then sunny with a high near 46 degrees and an overnight low of 22.
