Tuesday is expected to be warm and sunny in Denver, but a high wind advisory is in effect through this morning in the foothills, according to the National Weather Service.

The metro area temperature is expected to be near 56 degrees and winds may gust as high as 23 mph.

Foothills communities in Larimer, Boulder, Jefferson counties and elsewhere could see wind gusts as high as 44 mph. The wind will taper off in the afternoon.

Denver’s overnight low is expected to be around 26 degrees.

Wednesday is again expected to be sunny with a high near 59 degrees and an overnight low of 26.

Thursday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 46 degrees and an overnight low of 24. There is a 20 percent chance of snow showers on Thursday night.

Friday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 37 degrees and a 20 percent chance of snow showers. The overnight low is expected to be 17 degrees.

Saturday will again be mostly with a high near 44 and an overnight low around 22 degrees.

On Sunday there is a slight chance of snow showers on a mostly sunny day with a high temperature of 42 degrees and an overnight low around 19.
