The Colorado Department of Transportation will conduct periodic traffic holds Tuesday on Interstate 70 for rockfall mitigation work.
Motorists can expect delays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in both directions between Exit 238: Fall River Road and Exit 239: Idaho Springs, according to CDOT’s traffic alerts online.
The agency did not say how long delays would last.
In late November, rock slides twice closed the interstate near Idaho Springs, cutting access to ski resorts in the high country.
I-70 EB/WB: Planned closure between Exit 238 – Fall River Rd and Exit 239 – Idaho Springs. Periodic traffic holds between the hours of 9AM and 3PM for rockfall mitigation. Expect delays.
