Denver police arrested a woman for investigation into a hit and run crash in Denver Friday that seriously injured another person.
The woman is being held on suspicion of careless driving resulting in injury of a vulnerable road user, red light violation and leaving the scene of a crash, a Denver Police Department tweet said. The victim is in critical condition, Denver police spokesman Jay Casillas said.
The crash happened Friday morning near the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and 49th Street, police said. Police issued an alert for a silver 2004 Ford Explorer and later located the suspected driver.
Southbound Sheridan was closed for the investigation.
