A pedestrian died in a crash involving an RTD bus on Saturday evening at 35th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, according to the Denver Police Department.
A witness saw the man running alongside the bus, possibly trying to get it to stop, before he fell, was caught under the bus and struck, police spokesman Jay Casillas said Sunday.
The man was taken to a hospital where he died. He has not been identified.
Although police earlier said charges in the case were pending, Casillas on Sunday said the investigation was ongoing and police were working to determine who was at fault in the incident and if any criminal charges were warranted against the bus driver.
