Nucla narrowly won over the Dove Creek Bulldogs in a 54-51 contest on Friday, Jan. 17.
Nucla was lead in scoring by Tyler Wytulka who scored 23 points while also recording 20 rebounds and one assist. Aaron Case had a productive night, recording six points.
Dove Creek was paced in scoring by Ty Smith who put up 15 points, while also collecting 11 rebounds and two assists. Branson Smith had a respectable night, recording 11 points.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Nucla hosting Telluride and Dove Creek taking on Non Varsity Opponent.
