Loveland was a force in the post, collecting 60.6 of all rebounds and blocking 10 shot attempts in their 60-55 win over Thornton on Saturday.
Livia Mcquade lead Loveland with 16 points scored while also collecting 18 rebounds. Megan Stackhouse had a respectable night, recording 15 points, five rebounds and eight assists.
Thornton was paced in scoring by Monique Delatorre who put up 20 points, while also collecting three rebounds and six assists. Shamahra Henderson recorded a double-double, scoring 18 points and collecting 15 rebounds.
Next up for each team, Loveland will stay home and play Rocky Mountain, while Thornton will travel to play Prairie View.
