A bystander was shot Friday morning after an argument spilled out from a bus onto the sidewalk near the state Capitol, a Denver police spokesman said.
Police responded around 11:45 a.m. to reports of a shooting near the corner of Grant Street and East Colfax Avenue, spokesman Jay Casillas said.
Initial reports indicate that an argument started on a bus and continued after people were dropped off near the Capitol, Casillas said. At that point, someone fired a gun and an adult male — who was not involved in the argument — was struck in the right arm, he said.
The man, who has not been identified, did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are looking for two male suspects, Casillas said.
ALERT: is in the area of Colfax & Grant investigating a shooting. One male victim being transported to hospital with apparent GSW, injuries appear to be non-life threatening. Investigators working to develop suspect info.
