Denver’s rapidly fluctuating weather conditions will be on full display this weekend and the first part of the next work week.
Temperatures will be rising Friday and through the weekend, with highs near 52 on Friday, 63 on Saturday and 70 by Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

The pleasant weekend will soon be forgotten Monday as a winter storm enters the state.
Temperatures will plummet to a low of 10 degrees on Monday. Even the high temperature is expected to be only 31 degrees, which is 39 degrees lower than Sunday.
Snow is expected to begin falling around 11 a.m. on Monday, the weather service said. The chance for snow is considered “likely,” the NWS said.
“It looks like a pretty good chance for snow,” said Kyle Fredin, NWS meteorologist. “It doesn’t look like anything major.”
It will get even colder on Tuesday, when the low will be around 6 degrees, the weather service said. The high will be around 23 degrees.
Snow is also likely on Tuesday before 11 a.m., the weather service said.
Only 0.9 inches of snow fell in Denver in the entire month of January, Fredin said. This early February snowstorm will likely eclipse that amount in a few days, he said.
“I think it is more than likely we’ll get more than an inch,” Fredin said.
As the storm moves closer, forecasters will be able to make a projection of how many inches of snow Denver could get, he said.
Total snowfall at DIA, for January, has been 0.9" which would be tied for 8th place for the least amount of snow in January.

Temperatures are expected to rebound under sunny skies in the middle of next week with a high of about 36 degrees on Wednesday and 43 on Thursday, the weather service said.
