
It’s finally stopped snowing on the Front Range, but the dry weather won’t last long.
Mild and sunny weather returns to Denver during the day Saturday, before another helping of powder returns at night.
Temperatures in Denver will reach 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Meanwhile, the mountains could get up to 7 inches in some places as a cold front moves in Saturday night.
Denver could see an inch of new snow, as forecasters warn drivers of slick roads Saturday night into Sunday.
The weekend storm has produced serious avalanche warnings throughout the state. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center rates much of the backcountry from Aspen to Breckenridge and up toward the Wyoming border as 4 out of 5 danger levels.
“Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended,” the said on its website. “Any avalanche that releases naturally, or one that you trigger, can be potentially deadly.”
After a mild day, snow returns to the mountains this evening. For the Urban Corridor & near by plains, snow will possible late tonight behind a cold front. Snow will remain possible into Sunday.
