Faith Christian dominated in the paint, snagging 63 of all rebounds and swatting five shots in their 36-29 win over Bishop Machebeuf on Friday.
Ashley Finch lead Faith Christian with 17 points scored while also collecting 20 rebounds. Emilie Eggers had a good night, recording eight points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Bishop Machebeuf was paced in scoring by Angelina Tina who scored 10 points, while also collecting nine rebounds and two assists. Karla Muratalla aided the effort by contributing five points and seven rebounds.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Faith Christian heading to play Kent Denver and Bishop Machebeuf taking on Jefferson Academy.
