One lane of northbound Interstate 25 was closed Thursday morning after a semitrailer apparently struck and killed a pedestrian, according to the Denver Police Department.

The crash was reported before 11:45 a.m. on the interstate near the exit for South University Boulevard, according to Denver police, who called the case a “non-criminal, outdoor death.”

Additional information was not immediately available. Police warned drivers to expect delays in the area.
