Denver weather: Spring-like temperatures this week following overnight snow

The snow greeting commuters Monday morning will likely be melted by nightfall.

In fact, the upcoming week is expected to feature a string of spring-like days in the Denver metro area and by Saturday temperature could nudge 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

On Monday, snow showers are expected before 7 a.m. and patchy fog is possible before 11 a.m. Clouds are expected to give way to sun with a high near 48 and an overnight low around 26 degrees.

Tuesday is expected to be sunny with a high near 57 and an overnight low around 29 degrees.

Wednesday the temperature is expected to climb to 61 degrees before dropping to an overnight low of around 33.

Thursday will again be sunny with a high near 57 and an overnight low around 33 degrees.

Friday could hit a spring-like 66 degrees with an overnight low around 39.

Saturday is expected to be another sunny day with a high temperature near 69 degrees and an overnight low around 39.

On Sunday, there is a slight chance of rain but the day will be mostly sunny with a high near 60 degrees.
