The CU Buffs may not be the only Colorado team heading to March Madness.
The Northern Colorado Bears (22-9, 15-5 in conference) are heading into the Big Sky tournament as the No. 2 seed. If UNC wins, they’ll earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. It would be UNC’s second NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2011.
As for the rest of Colorado’s D-I teams…
CSU (20-12) is still awaiting its postseason fate. After losing in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament, the Rams are like bound for an invite to either the College Basketball Invitational or the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. Air Force (12-20) ended its season Thursday, losing to San Diego State. The Denver Pioneers (7-24) ended their season on Saturday, losing a heartbreaking 71-69 game North Dakota State.
