A man who was stabbed Thursday in Fort Collins staggered into a restaurant, where employees called for help.
The stabbing happened about 10:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Magnolia Street, according to police. A suspect was quickly taken into custody.
Police identified the suspect as Travis Spain, 38, according to a news release. Spain was taken to the Larimer County jail and held on suspicion of first-degree assault.

The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
“I appreciate the rapid response of our community members who called for help and the officer who arrived within one minute to provide life-saving care to this victim,” Lt. Adam McCambridge said in the release. “Their quick assistance made a significant difference in the outcome of this incident.”
