The Avalanche is reportedly looking at unveiling a Quebec Nordiques-like third jersey for next season — the 25th anniversary season for the franchise in Denver.

“We’ve talked about it, but the opportunity has not arose up to now. Itap not the only thing we’ve talked about. We have talked about a lot of things,” Declan Bolger, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, .

The Nordiques relocated in Denver in 1995, and Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic and two others came with the move and are still with franchise. Sakic was a young star center for Quebec and Matt Sokolowski was the Nordiques’ trainer and Jean Martineau the head of media relations.

An Avalanche spokesman declined to confirm the possibility of a Nordiques-style jersey when contacted by The Post.
