Denver is expected to be warm with a chance for afternoon thunderstorms on Thursday, and through the weekend.

The metro area will have a high temperature in the upper 70s today, the National Weather Service in Boulder predicts. There’s also a 20 percent chance for thunderstorms in the city.

That general forecast extends out into eastern Colorado, with storms most likely toward the foothills.

On Friday, the expected high temperature jumps into the upper 80s, where it will stay through the weekend. Thunderstorms are possible each day in the afternoon and evenings.

On Monday, temperatures could inch up into the low 90s.
