A suspect and victim in a fatal shooting over the weekend in Arvada have been identified, as police described the two men as cousins with a long-standing dispute.

Isiah Bennett, 24, is being held for investigation of first-degree murder for the Saturday shooting of 26-year-old Raymond Jutting, according to police.

Bennett is being held at the Jefferson County Jail, according to a news release.

Police said the suspect and victim are cousins and that they were “arguing over an apparent long-standing issue.”

The shooting happened at about 4:45 p.m. at 7846 Marshall St., police said. When officers arrived, they found Jutting in the front yard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Bennett was arrested at the scene.
