A suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of 51-year-old Lakewood man.

Esther Epperson, 49, is being held at the Jefferson County jail on investigation of first-degree murder, according to the sheriff’s office.

About 9:30 p.m. Monday deputies responded to the 3600 block of South Sheridan Boulevard on a report of shots fired. Joe Trujillo was shot inside his residence and was taken to a Denver hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the sheriff’s office said.
