The warm and dry conditions that have persisted throughout the summer will continue Saturday, as forecasters warn of extreme fire danger in parts of the state.

High temperatures in Denver are expected to reach 83 degrees, with winds up to 35 miles per hour over the Eastern Plains, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Winds will increase over the plains after 11 a.m. and continue into the early evening, producing critical fire conditions, NWS said, as they warned residents to avoid open flames or anything that could spark.
