Denver weather: A warmer day for Friday after a chilly start

After a chilly start, Friday will shape up to be a warmer and mostly sunny day. The high temperature for the Denver metro area is expected to reach near 70 degrees. Winds will be light, with speeds up to 9 mph in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Wind speed will increase Friday night to 13 mph with possible gusts up to 18 mph. Otherwise, cloud coverage will increase, and the low temperature will be near 44 degrees.

Saturday will see more sunshine and more wind. Temperatures will be in the mid-70s, but it may feel cooler as winds will be faster in the afternoon. Gusts may reach 24 mph.
