The record-breaking warm weather Denver’s seen in the last few days will end Sunday night as a cold front moves into the region — likely bringing a bit of snow to the metro area Monday.
Sunday’s temperatures will reach a high of 58, but will then drop into the 30s overnight, according to the National Weather Service at Boulder.
Snow in Denver is likely to start in the late afternoon and into the evening Monday, meteorologist Bob Kleyla said. The metro area won’t see more than an inch of snow.
The foothills may see between two and four inches, while mountain residents should expect between five and 10 inches, he said.
“Itap been mild, so this will be the biggest change we’ve had since the last snow,” he said, noting that the first week of November was one of the warmest on record in the state since 1872. “People have to get adjusted to being colder, with a little snow.”

After Monday’s minor snowfall, the sun will return Tuesday, with high temperatures in the upper 40s through Thursday, according to the weather service. The sunshine will continue through the rest of the week, with highs on Friday and Saturday in the mid 50s.
