Gusty winds are expected throughout the day Saturday as blowing snow could produce hazardous driving conditions in Colorado’s high country.

Winds up to 60 miles per hour already blew through the Eastern Plains on Saturday morning, while winter weather advisories are in place for the northern mountain until 6 p.m., with up to 6 inches possible in some places.

“Consider delaying travel, (especially) high-profile vehicles,” the National Weather Service in Boulder tweeted.

The strong winds could blow around unsecured objects, blow down tree limbs and could knock out power in some places, forecasters said.

High temperatures in Denver are expected to hit 47 degrees, before the weather warms up Sunday and into next week.
