Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested one person in connection to the fatal shooting of a convenience store clerk on Thanksgiving in Centennial.

Investigators released surveillance photos Dec. 9 of a suspect from the robbery and homicide that occurred at 6:45 p.m. at the Circle K at 8263 S. Quebec St.

On Friday, the sheriff’s office announced it had arrested a suspect after receiving numerous tips about the person’s identity. However, the sheriff’s office has not publicly released the person’s identity.

The clerk was found on Thanksgiving Day behind the counter lying on the floor, police said. Video footage showed the suspect pointed a gun at the victim, and after the clerk handed the suspect money from the cash register and cigarettes, the robber shot him, according to police. The clerk was transported to a hospital for treatment, but he died during surgery.
