Getting your player ready...

Warmth is on the way and so too is a beautiful weekend. But before you relax, there’s another round of snow coming on Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Thursday’s high will be 48 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will pick up to a small breeze in the afternoon, blowing in a slightly warmer evening of 26 degrees under a still overcast sky.

Snow will begin to develop in the mountains late Thursday night. Snow near Rabbitap Ears Pass will total up to eight inches, while most of the high country is expected no more than four inches.

Most of this snow will fall on Friday morning. The metro area should see flurries that accumulate less than an inch of fresh snow. Friday’s high-temperature downtown will be 38 degrees.

The weather will clear for a mostly sunny Saturday with a 45 degree high; overnight, the low will only drop into the 20s.

Sunday is looking even better, with sun and a 50-degree high temperature. Itap the beginning of a pattern that will kick off next week in the 50s.
