A 62-year-old man died Friday after someone struck him with a vehicle two days prior, and Aurora police are looking for the driver of the hit-and-run.

About 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, the man was crossing the street at East Iliff Avenue in the westbound lanes of traffic, at its intersection with South Peoria Street when the driver hit him and then fled, according to Aurora police. A passer-by found the man on the ground and alerted authorities.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment, but he died of his injuries. Authorities have not released his identity.

Aurora police said they don’t have any information about the driver or the vehicle and ask anyone with information to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.  Callers can maintain anonymity and could be eligible for a reward up to $2,000.
