Denverites can expect the only snow they’ll see in the area for at least a couple days to be whatever hasn’t melted on the ground yet.
The weather forecast on Saturday calls for a high near 44 degrees, with wind gusts that could get as high as 22 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Mostly clear skies are expected at night with a low near 24 degrees, and continued gusty winds as high as 28 mph.
The National Weather Service’s hazardous weather outlook for northeast and north central Colorado warns of high wind for the foothills and mountains Saturday night through Sunday afternoon, with gusts up to 80 mph. Some light showers over the high mountains are likely, but accumulation isn’t expected.

The next three days call for warmer temperatures in Denver with highs near 50 and above. So far, forecasters are not projecting a snowy Christmas Day. But Tuesday’s forecast calls for a slight chance of snow after 11 p.m.
In the mountains and foothills Sunday, more wind gusts between 60 to 80 mph are likely, with gusts up to 40 mph near the Wyoming-Nebraska border, according to the hazardous weather outlook. Some light showers can be expected.
