A man shot dead in Denver on East Colfax Avenue has been identified.
Lewis Garcia, 34, died at the scene, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. Garcia was found on January 27 lying on Colfax near Hudson Street.
Officers responded to the 5500 Blk of East Colfax in regard to a person on the ground. Upon the arrival of paramedics, it was determined that the person had sustained a possible GSW. Treatment is being provided. No additional information is available at this time.

Garcia died of a gunshot wound and the manner of his death is a homicide, according to the medical examiner.
An investigation is ongoing. Police have not arrested a suspect in the case.
