One person died and two were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Denver, police said.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes near Quebec Street, according to an 11:20 a.m. Twitter post by police. All eastbound lanes were shut down at Brighton Boulevard by the crash. The eastbound lanes reopened at about 2:50 p.m., police said.
UPDATE: One person has been announced deceased that was involved in this crash. Two others suffered serious injuries, they do not appear to be life-threatening. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The highway remains closed. We will update when it reopens.

The identity of the person who died was not released Wednesday. Two people suffered serious injuries but they are expected to survive, police said.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
