PHOTOS: Red Rocks’ first big concert of 2021 kicks off the return of live music in Denver

After last summer’s truncated schedule of events with only a 175-person capacity, Red Rocks made its triumphant return on Thursday with the first of a four-night run from the instrumental electronic jam band Lotus.

While the venue’s normal capacity is about 9,500 people, current COVID-19 restrictions are , with the hope that capacities can increase as the weather heats up and vaccine rates increase.
