
Colorado fans can finally start making travel plans and plot kickoff parties for the early portion of the 2021 football schedule.
On Thursday, the Pac-12 Conference announced the kickoff times and television information for the first three weeks of the season, encompassing the entire nonconference schedule for the Buffaloes. CU will begin its 132nd season of varsity football with a Friday night date against coach Ed McCaffrey’s Northern Colorado Bears on Sept. 3, featuring a 7 p.m. kickoff at Folsom Field that will air on the Pac-12 Network.
The showdown against Texas A&M at Empower Field at Mile High on Sept. 11 will kick off at 1:30 p.m. and will be the second of an all-day, Pac-12 showcase on FOX. The Buffs-A&M game will follow FOX’s broadcast of the national marquee matchup between Oregon and Ohio State.
CU will complete the nonconference portion of its schedule at home against Minnesota on Sept. 18, with an early 11 a.m. kickoff that will air on Pac-12 Network.
The Pac-12 season kicks off a week before the CU-UNC opener, with UCLA hosting Hawaii on Aug. 28 at 1:30 p.m. MT on ESPN. Among the other early-season highlights within the Pac-12 is Washington’s visit to Michigan on Sept. 11 (5:30 p.m. MT, ABC) and Arizona’s first game under new coach Jedd Fisch in Las Vegas against BYU on Sept. 4 (8:30 p.m. MT, ESPN).
The first conference game will be on Sept. 11 as Stanford visits USC (8:30 p.m. MT, FOX).
