A small airplane crashed northeast of Fort Collins, near Wellington, on Friday. According to Wellington Fire Protection District, two people were on board the aircraft and have been transported to the hospital.
The crash occurred before 11 a.m. Friday.
The nearest airport was Northern Colorado Regional Airport. According to Poudre Fire Authority, a crash team was sent from the airport in Loveland, but the crash occurred too far away for the team to find the wreckage.
Crews from Wellington and Poudre Fire are working the crash scene.
