Denver’s weather will remain in the same pattern Monday that it’s been in for the past few days: hot and muggy for Colorado with storms possible in the afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will top out above 90 degrees for the third straight day and for the third time in 2021 on Monday with a high of 92. The mostly sunny skies will have light wind later in the day.
Scattered thunderstorms will be present east of Interstate 25 beginning mid-afternoon, with some rain making its way to the ground. Small hail of up to an inch in diameter, 60 mph wind gusts and minor flooding are possible, forecasters said. Lightning and 50 mph wind gusts are possible west of I-25. There’s a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. as skies become partly cloudy and the nighttime low will drop under 60 in the metro area.
Another very warm day is in store for Monday, and the entire week ahead for that matter. Isolated to scattered storms can be expected again in the afternoon, producing brief rain, gusty winds, and lightning. Dry weather will prevail the rest of the week ahead.
