While the Pacific Northwest is seeing a historic heatwave, with Portland (112 degrees) and Seattle (104 degrees) setting all-time record highs, Denver is experiencing below-average temperatures. The Mile High City’s cool and wet trend will continue Monday and into the week.
Continued cool and unsettled. Another round of showers and thunderstorms will occur, mainly in the afternoon and early evening period. Brief moderate to heavy rain, small hail and gusty winds 35 to 40 mph may occur with a few of the storms.

Monday will reach 74 degrees under partly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. There’s a 50% chance of showers, beginning in the afternoon with winds increasing to 15 mph into the evening. The low will be 55 degrees. NWS warns that some storms could produce brief heavy rain with hail and more flash floods across burn scars.
Tuesday will reach 76 degrees with A 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Wind could gust near 20 mph Tuesday evening as clouds increase throughout the day.
Wednesday may get back into the 80s with a low of 58 degrees. There’s a 50% chance of rain, but the NWS says storms will be slow-moving and produce heavy rainfall in some areas, with the threat for flash flooding in burn scars increasing beginning Wednesday through the rest of the week.
An early Fourth of July weekend forecast shows temperatures in the mid-80s with sun and afternoon storms on Saturday and Sunday.
