After triple-digit temperatures earlier in the week, Saturday’s weather is expected to be a brief respite for the Denver metro area.

Highs in the mid-80s are forecast for Denver and its suburbs Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. The metro area will remain dry and wind gusts could reach 30 mph at times.

Temperatures will begin creeping up Sunday, with highs near 90 degrees, before returning to the mid-90s by Monday, according to the NWS.

The middle of next week could bring thunderstorms. The NWS predicts there is a 25% to 35% chance of showers Tuesday through Thursday.
