Smoke from several West Coast fires was making its way through the metro area Monday, prompting an Ozone Action Alert for much of the northern Front Range.
We'll be under the smoke plume from the western U.S. (Mainly OR, ID, Northern CA) wildfires through the next couple days. Look at smoke concentrations through atmosphere at midnight tonight, noon Monday, and noon Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature on Monday will reach 93 degrees with a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms between 3 and 9 p.m.
The warm temperatures and light winds will lead to stagnant conditions, increasing ozone and particulate concentration in the metro area. The hazy conditions from the western U.S. wildfires will impact Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer and Weld counties through Tuesday.
More moisture is likely on Tuesday, with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms between noon and midnight. Smoke will hang around on a partly sunny day with a high near 94 and nighttime temperature of 65 degrees.
On Wednesday, the chance for storms is again 40% with the possibility of flash floods or hail.
