Westerly winds will prevail Saturday along the Front Range and in the metro area with gusts up to 60 mph in the mountains and foothills.

In Denver, there’s a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Skies will be mostly sunny as the high temperature tops out at about 83 degrees. It will be breezy, with winds mostly in the 13- to 15-mph range and gusts up to 21 mph.

Along the Front Range, winds on Saturday will be in the 20- to 35-mph range in widespread areas. Winds are expected to decrease this evening.

Tonight in Denver, there’s a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8 p.m., according to the weather service. Skies will be partly cloudy and the low temperature will dip to about 59 degrees. Winds will gust up to 20 mph.

The Sunday forecast for Denver calls for sunny skies with a high temperature near 93 degrees, the weather service said.

Fire concerns will be elevated across the Eastern Plains on Sunday as the relative humidity drops to around 10% and winds gust up to 25 mph, according to the weather service.

On Monday in Denver skies are expected to be sunny as the high temperature climbs to about 93 degrees.

There will be no threats of flash floods over burn scar areas Sunday through Tuesday, but a limited chance will return Wednesday and Thursday.
